As part of my graduate studies at UC Denver, I facilitated a research project on Arts Engagement on Twitch.tv in an effort to document the evolution of the growing creative community. The ways we engage with art are changing and evolving to include new digital spaces. As an art educator, video game player, and learning designer I recognize the potential for Twitch.tv to have an important role in enabling creative experiences with their ever-growing, youthful community. One of the biggest impacts of creative engagement on Twitch that was revealed in my survey findings and interviews was the emotional impacts of being part of the Twitch community.
