It's All Feeling Quite Surreal

As week 5 comes to a close, I can't help but feel as though this summer has been dream-like. From the amazing art and people at the museum, to the insightful and enthusiastic docent trainees that graduated on Wednesday, my professional experiences have been inspirational and rewarding. On top all of all this amazing great-ness, each week I am finding new ways to engage and learn with and from my digital storytelling cohort and learn about new processes and technologies. To add to the mood, I went to a Surrealist art show this weekend and got to try the Oculus Rift for the first time. I simply must be dreaming!

Despite some technical issues this week (one day my power went out...the next day my internet!) I was able to find, critique, and produce content that I was pretty excited about in one way or another. I would definitely rate this week a 10/10 kind of week. My process was a bit different due to the constraints of not having internet access at the beginning of the week, and I was left with writing three big blog posts in one day. However, this allowed me more time to research and develop my ideas and projects. In contrast to the previous weeks, where I would alternate between production and writing, I found that my blog posts have a more consistent voice this week. It will be interesting to read through all of my blog posts at the end of this course and see how my writing and style has changed.

And now, I am off to play video games. Cheers to dreaming, floating, and growing.
